Home Care Packages
Our Occupational Therapist’s work with Home Care Package recipients to help maintain their safety and independence at home.
Clients can be assessed for their eligibility for a Home Care Package via My Aged Care.
Our OT’s work with clients who already have a package, or those who have been assessed as eligible for a package and are able to access funding for equipment needs while they are waiting for a package.
OT’s might work with clients on:
Minor home modifications such as grab rails, hand held showers, lever taps etc
More complex home modifications such as ramps or door widening
Assistive technology such as shower chairs, wheelchairs, riser recliner chairs, electric adjustable beds, personal alarms etc
Falls prevention including education and recommendations to increase safety around the house
Supports that will help you achieve essential daily activities
Community access including disability parking permits or suitability to use a scooter
