What if I don’t feel my OT is a good fit with what I need?
We try hard to match our clients with the Occupational Therapist that we think will be the most suitable. Being such a broad profession, our OTs have different areas of expertise and we want to make sure that clients are getting the best possible service. If a client requests a change of therapist we do our best to accommodate that, otherwise we will make suggestions for another OT service in the Geelong region.
How experienced are your Occupational Therapists?
- Have a look at the bio page to see all of our OTs and the breadth of their experience. We won’t accept a referral if we aren’t confident that we can provide a good match for the client’s needs.
- We currently do not hire graduate Occupational Therapists.
- If you’re a new graduate OT looking for work we would recommend you make sure your first workplace provides you with excellent early career supervision, lots of joint sessions and modelling from a more experienced therapists, a broad range of clinical experiences and lots of support for professional development in your area of interest. We do all those things too, but have balanced up the needs of our clients and staff and decided that two years experience is the entry point for our staff
